I’m beginning to feel as though I should have NEVER upgraded. Never had any problem like this when I exported exactly the same way into Animate Pro 2 running Windows XP. Flatline, no sound, and I’ve done all the simplistic stuff like make sure the ‘Waveform’ was selected, cranked up the volume and the waveform to 900%. I’ve closed all competing programs including any players or sound editors after saving, saved in different locations from Desktop to Music in My Documents, changed my default players, made sure temp files were deleted, used older versions of the same Harmony scene before any sound was even attempted at importing. I’ve been told the 32 bit floating is an issue, but I’ve tried different compressors from Audacity to do a fixed PCM 32, 16, 24, even a 64 at 44 to 48bazillion hz, and nuthin’. As one admin did say this is a permisions issue but not quite on the folders on your drive but the actual folders downloaded.I’m running Windows 8, with all the latest bells and whistles including the new Harmony, and I’m having the same problem.
If you are using Vista the above solutions will work. Click the Compatibility tab and select Run this program as an administrator. Right click the shortcut and click properties. Use a Toon Boom Shortcut on your desktop to start the program. If you did this on a parent folder you should get a window asking to do to all files in that folder. When done with all users, click the Apply button OK button. Vista permissions are different than many OS and if you belong to any group that does NOT have Full control to the file you will not have permissions either and will get the errors described above.Ĭlick the Edit button and after clicking on each user or group that do not have full control, click the full control button under allow adding full control to that user. In the Group or user names box, select each user and make sure they show Full Control in the permissions for SYSTEM box below it.
(You can go down and do this to each file inside but it will take much longer and will cascade down to child folders if you select a parent folder.) Right click your file or the folder your files are in and select properties. Often when downloading files they are left in an odd state of permissions.
If you are using Vista your problem is one of the two below.
